Please review all of these websites as they will give you a broader understanding of religion.  Many provide unique articles and information about aspects of religion and religious life in the present day. 

Pluralism Project’s Religious Diversity Links to an external site.

This is the site for the Harvard University-based Pluralism Project, the brainchild of Diana Eck. The Project tracks religious diversity, primarily in the United States, and the movement of religions worldwide. The site is chock-full of resources for both students and teachers, and has solid information about religions. One of the beauties of this site is its visual application: real pictures of real people in their religious context.

Beliefnet is a solid and reliable website addressing many aspects of religion and religious life in the present day. There are brief explanations of faith traditions and beliefs, chats with religious leaders, religious news, some advertising, lots of quizzes, discussions of weighty topics, book reviews and so much more.  Students might explore this site and be aware of it as a source for reliable information about religions’ beliefs. There are numerous quizzes on this website, some of which are for fun and to enlarge your understanding of how pervasive religion is- as well as to open your mind to the different ways people believe.

This is another solid, reliable extensive website about religion, offering good information about individual religions. The history of this website is interesting, in that it strives to be emphatically unbiased, which is no small feat. Students can explore the movement of religions here.
