Scholarships
The department awards the following scholarships each year to outstanding students who qualify.
Mary Barlow English Scholarship

Qualifications
- Must be a senior majoring in English, Language, Literature or a similar field
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must have lived on campus for at least two years, will live on campus as a senior
- 3.0 GPA or higher in major classes
- Preference given to women and those contemplating graduate study in the same field

- Must be an English, Economics, Business Administration, Communications, or Journalism major

Other Scholarships
Park University (and others) offer many other scholarships not specific to English and Spanish students. Students are encouraged to visit Park's Scholarships page and use AwardSpring Links to an external site. to apply to scholarships for which they might be eligible. Here are a few:
- Anna Riojas Endowed Memorial Scholarship: preference for students of Hispanic origin with demonstrated financial need
- Harrison Metheny Family Scholarship: full-time junior or senior involved in Park activities, GPA of at least 2.75
