The Professional and Technical Writing (PTW) minor provides a competitive advantage for those seeking careers in the sciences, technical industries, the military, and other professional environments that require keen communication skills. In the PTW program, you’ll become adept at analyzing audiences to anticipate their needs and fulfilling those needs with common workplace genres such as the following:

proposals
reports
presentations
memos
instructions
and more

Additionally, you will learn to produce effective, convincing documents in both print and digital formats and expand your ability to edit others’ writing. Get a leg up on the competition by gaining the skills employers are looking for.
